Led by customer feedback, Prelude continues to advance putting candidates first with new product functionality

Today, Prelude, the leading provider of scheduling automation for in-house recruiting teams and hiring managers, announced several product updates to reporting functionality, interviewer training, and candidate engagement that will continue to improve every step of interview coordination for both candidates and hiring teams.

These advancements continue to make Prelude a top contender for recruiting and talent acquisition teams that are seeking a truly candidate-centric platform. Over 120 top-tier organizations now rely on Prelude including Duolingo, Samsara, Glassdoor, and Mollie.

Growth fueled by a customer-led product roadmap

Since 2017, Prelude has embraced the guidance of customers in informing the product roadmap. In 2021 they rebranded from "Interview Schedule" to "Prelude" in a reflection of the company's evolution from an interview scheduling tool to a holistic solution for candidate experience and management.

During the past year, Prelude has gained many new customer organizations and is currently on pace to support the placement of over one million candidates in 2022. Along the way, the company has tripled its revenue in twelve months.

Christopher Clark, a Talent Coordinator at Mollie, noted “Day-to-day, Prelude has automated a lot of our interviews and it has made complex interviews very easy. It is also a simple tool to understand and use. They have a great team who have been patient and willing to go the extra mile to make Prelude fit our scheduling needs."

The team at Glassdoor has been using Prelude since 2021 and has noted substantial time savings, with the entire talent acquisition team saving over 1000 hours since becoming Prelude partners. Using Prelude, they’ve scheduled over 4100 complex interviews and cut down the time those complex interviews took to schedule from 4-5 hours to an average of 11.5 minutes.

In 2022, Prelude doubled its headcount to continue to add new product functionality and provide robust customer support and onboarding to every customer. Though the core Prelude scheduling engine continues to make the interview scheduling process fast and simple for candidates and in-house recruiting teams it’s also capable of much more.

Reporting and interviewer training functionality updates

Prelude offers robust reporting built right into the platform for growth tier customers and above that enables hiring teams to quickly see how many interviews have been scheduled or conducted and by whom. It can also pinpoint insights into who is causing reschedules and how many hours employees are committing to interviews.

Coming up within the next few months Prelude plans to roll out even more advanced reporting which will allow users and administrators an in-depth look into the capacity and responsiveness of the interviewing pool.

As a response to the rising issue of burnout among interviewers, Prelude has also developed easy ways to build training plans and leverage interviewer data that encourages diverse interview panels and a better candidate experience. Prelude plans to release new reports with trainee and training program information to provide more insight into the training pipeline.
